Our questions and answers may well help you on your way, and eradicate some of those shaving myths.
A1. Make sure you exfoliate first, shave with warm water, use a sharp blade and do not apply too much pressure on your skin. See our step by step guide for details.
A2. Since shaving removes hair on the surface of the skin, it doesn't affect the colour or the thickness of the hair, therefore shaving does not promote darker, thicker hair or faster re-growth on legs or underarms. After an area has been shaved, the hair shafts start to emerge from the follicle, so your hair looks and feels coarse and bristly. If you allow the hair to grow out, it will take on its original appearance and texture.
A3. Thousands of women shave their bikini lines and there is no danger if you take the proper time required and follow simple techniques. Shave your bikini area one side at a time in a slow upward motion. Make sure you moisturise after and always wear cotton underwear to reduce any irritation to your vaginal area.
A4. Irritating little red bumps, ingrown hairs or infected hair follicles can sometimes appear when first shaving and be irritable. That's why it's important to take the time to shave properly and to follow the simple step-by-step guide. These techniques will help avoid any rashes or bumps.
A5. The frequency of blade changing will depend on your hair structure and re-growth. Change them when you feel that you have to apply more pressure on the skin, as this is an indication they are starting to blunt.
A6. Quattro For Women has been designed for the ultimate performance and a close shave. If you've been using your man's razor, this is the one for you. For care and convenience with an built-in skin conditioner to save time and provide a skin friendly shave, Intuition is the right choice for you. Lady Protector is ideal for first time users or those returning to shaving due to its protective guard wires.
A7. Not if done properly. Make sure you prepare and moisturise properly. See the shaving tips on how to do this. Most razors now have an added conditioning strip that will help improve razor glide and minimise nicks and cuts.

As always, if your skin is becoming irritated due to shaving or if you are having any health problem, stop shaving and see a doctor.
